Allusion blinds explained
Allusion blinds in Bury St Edmunds give you something net curtains and standard verticals cannot: privacy, light control and a clear view, all from a single window covering. Made by Louvolite, they feature vertical fabric vanes (louvres) set between two layers of sheer voile. Rotate the vanes through five positions — 0°, 45°, 90°, 135° and 180° — and the room changes with them. Open, you get soft filtered daylight through the voile. Closed, you get full privacy.
The standard control is a monocommand wand. One movement tilts the vanes; another pulls them side to side along the track. There are no hanging cords or chains, which makes them child-safe straight out of the box. If you prefer hands-free operation, motorised versions are available with app and voice control through the Louvolite Hub.
Two fabric ranges cover most rooms. Horizon has a woven texture in calm, neutral tones — it suits living rooms and bedrooms well. Vista has a subtle geometric wave pattern and is flame retardant, so it works in commercial settings too. Both look good on wide windows and patio doors, where the vanes draw neatly to one side and the voile keeps the window looking dressed even when they're stacked back.
